A Medically Based Full Service Fitness Club
Westview Healthplex Sports Club is a comprehensive Osteopathic medically based fitness facility. The full fitness center boasts aquatics programs, meeting rooms, medical offices, tennis courts, racquetball courts, basketball courts, group fitness rooms, a restaurant, physical therapy and full spa.
Objective:
Bring in property wide Free Wi-Fi Service to the members and guests of Westview Sports club. The wireless Internet was to be secure, easy to use and available anywhere guest may use it such as meeting rooms, locker rooms, the restaurant and waiting rooms of the medial offices.
Challenges:
The Westview Healthplex is a very large facility sprawling out over 180,000 square feet. Running cabling across these distances to the requested areas where wireless connectivity was to be available would be an expensive endeavor. Due to the nature of being a health club there is a large amount of metal fitness apparatus spread out everywhere in the facility which could block, reflect and affect reliable wireless signals.
Result:
After a wireless site survey eWireless used gear from multiple original equipment manufacturers and open source technologies to develop an effective wireless network. Zero cabling was needed to be run in the club. Wireless Distribution Systems allowed for wireless signals to be present in all areas requested and the system was complete in a few hours.
